But today Drammen is growing into a multicultural community, with a multitude of religious beliefs. It is an important challenge to handle this diversity to the benefit of the whole community.

In 2010 the cemetery close to Skoger church was expanded in order to offer burial grounds to people of all differents beliefs and cultures.

The city council has spent NOK 400 000 in order to transform the new crematorium chapel, so that it can accommodate all cultures, traditions and faiths.
