Post-natal groups
Description
Post-natal groups comprise the provision of information and guidance to new parents. Meetings are held at the health centre together with the public health nurse. Among the themes taken up are:
- breast-feeding
- baby care
- diet
- the child's development
- accident prevention
- family life

Guidelines – applying for, or receiving the service
When you have given birth, you will be contacted by the health centre who will invite you to participate in a post-natal group. You may also contact the health centre yourself.
Possibilities to appeal; procedure
If you consider that you are not receiving the necessary help or are not satisfied with the service, you may complain to the municiplaity or directly to the service authority concerned. State why you are dissatisfied and which changes you consider to be desirable.
