The pupils' school environment
Description
Pupils, parents/guardians and boards and committees who represent these may request that measures are undertaken concerning the school environment. The school will consider these applications within a reasonable time and make a written decision. The school environment includes the physical setting such as the indoor climate and play areas, and the psychosocial environment. All staff at the school have a responsibility to investigate and, where necessary, take action if they suspect any occurrence of bullying, violence or racism at the school.
All pupils in the school have a right to a good school environment that promotes health, well-being and learning.

- Pupils in primary and lower and upper secondary schools
- Pupils who utilise the After-school Programme (SFO)
- Parents and guardians

Administrative procedure
Administration time
The school will deal with the matter at the earliest opportunity. If the matter cannot be deternined within one month, written information will be given. At the same time information will be given about when a decision is expected to be made.
Possibilities to appeal; procedure
If you are not satisfied with the decision, you may appeal to the school within three weeks of having received the decision. Explain why you are not satisfied and why you feel that the decision should be changed. If you need advice, you may contact the municipality. If the school upholds its decision, the matter will be sent to the county governor, who will decide whether the appeal shall be allowed.
