Description
If you have difficulties in making payments or you are experiencing debt problems, the municipality can give you financial advice. You should attempt to come to an arrangement to the best of your ability with your creditors. But you may receive assistance in setting up a realistic budget, negotiations with creditors and enter into a debt repayment agreement.

Administrative procedure
Guidelines – applying for, or receiving the service
Take the following with you to the first meeting:
- A copy of your pay slip/social security payments/support grants. (Check whether any deductions for debt have been made on these payments.)
- A copy of receipts for major expenses, or other receipts which may there may be a reason to check
- Your inland revenue certificate
- A copy of your tax returns for the last tax year
- The annual returns (in connection with the tax declaration) from creditors
- Annual returns in connection with financial support payments (debts)
- Any demands for payments
- Summons to appear before the mediation board
- Summary of mortgage loans as a liability on your property
- Summary of loans as a liability on your own car
Administration time
The municipality will handle the matter at the earliest convenience.
