Temporary shelter
Description
If you have an immediate requirement for shelter and are unable to obtain a dwelling yourself, the municipality is obliged to provide a temporary roof over your head. Families with children, children and youth must be offered an appropriate shelter. This implies, among other things, that this service does not cover shelter for addicts.

You are in urgent need of shelter.
Price
The service is free of charge, but if you have the means you are expected to pay part of the rent yourself.

Administration time
The municipality shall consider the application as quickly as possible. In cases where the need is acute, temporary shelter is frequently necessary to be considered during the course of the day.
Possibilities to appeal; procedure
If the municipality rejects your application, you may appeal within three weeks of having been informed. Explain why you are dissatisfied and why you consider that the resolution should be changed. If you need assistance, you may ask the municipality. If the municipality maintains its decision, the matter is sent to the county governor who determines whether the appeal shall be upheld.
